Our Christmas Shopping Weekend on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November 2016 offers the perfect opportunity to buy original Christmas gifts direct from the artists and designer-makers in their studios - and a chance to see inside this magnificently restored, Grade II-listed nineteenth century hosiery factory & warehouse.
Take your pick from art and craft work in wood, ceramics, glass, interior and fashion textiles, fashion, jewellery, picture framing, millinery and more.
Mulled wine, Xmas biscuits, have-a-go activities.......
Makers' Yard is a three-storey building with lift access to all floors and studios - it's also fun to explore the building up and down its original wooden stairs!
As these are working studios we recommend that young children who visit are accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Makers Yard is at 82-86 Rutland Street, Leicester LE1 1SB, just 50 metres away from Curve on the same side of Rutland Street, going towards Humberstone Gate.Parking
