LCB Depot's regular family activities day for toddlers to ten-year-olds (and their grown ups) on the second Saturday each month 12-4pm is part of CQ Earlies - free family workshops across Leicester's Cultural Quarter including Leicester Print Workshop, Two Queens, Phoenix  and Curve.


Join us at LCB each month to try out activities including drawing, building, painting, print-making, dancing, cooking, acting, or make music, movies, stories and more

Inside Out Garden Party

To celebrate the planting of this year's Courtyard Garden we're all working together this month to create a garden indoors and dens outdoors! Make your most amazing den in the courtyard using cardboard, material, tape, string....

- welcome back our Elsie Bees by creating a Bee-wing orchestra with Iryna from Honey Craft ... focussing on how the Buzz sound gets created by wings flapping so fast. Iryna will work with children creating different size wings from different paper and experiment with the sounds made. Different roles that bees undertake in the hive will be grouped in orchestral settings in the workshop to tell the story of different roles in the hive

Thaumatropes Family Workshop at Phoenix
Draw and make your own 19th c. wonder spinner! We’re exploring simple two-frame animations with this fun device using paper, card and string. 
This is a drop-in workshop – booking isn’t required but there may be a wait during busy times.

Storymaking at Curve
Calling all young creatives! Join Curve for an interactive story making workshop. As capacity is limited, we are asking customers to book for these sessions, which start at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm. Please book for all attendees. If spaces are available on the day, we will accommodate drop-ins.
