LCB Summer Exhibition June 7 - June 30Being Here: Re-Imagined introduces
Jagjit Kaur & Michelle Knight: Sweet Tooth@without_looking@michknightSweet Tooth is the first collaboration show between Leicester based artists Jagjit Kaur and
Michelle Knight, both at
@twoqueensleicester.
‘’This body of work presents art in the digital age, the balance between content vs
aesthetics, the appearance in which our interests fuse together.
Jagjit’s works are visual diaries entries of her life, sewn together with digital resources to create
tapestries of her world. She uses the language of the internet using found visual references,
documenting her life and feelings through the work, looking to create dream-like spacial
atmospheres in visual harmonies.
Michelle’s works are an exploration of the natural world through a digital lens, focusing on flowers
and botanical imagery, alongside fluid mark making. Hidden surprises are found throughout her
pieces, weaving a concept created with the intention to wonder and question the depth within the
wonderland.’’

"Symbols of Life: Explorations of Spirituality, Flora, and Self, brings together
works that reflect upon some of the timeless symbols and ideas which have been
central to our understanding of what it means to be alive and human.
Through a variety of diverse works, primarily created within the
medium of painting, the artists within this exhibition are in some form, and
through their unique lens, exploring themes of spirituality, the human image, floral
motifs, self-reflection, the inner life and dream figures.
Encouraging us to embrace more of the wonder, beauty and complexity of our lives'’
