Oil Painting with Jane French
15, February 2014

A 1-day workshop : Still Life Studies, 10am - 4pm

If you have always wanted to have a go at painting in oils, then come along to one of my workshops. The workshops are intended to help the beginner start working with confidence using this traditional medium. They will also provide an opportunity for you to create a work of art you will be proud of!

The workshops are limited to just five students so that each person receives the individual attention they need to develop their skills. All canvases/boards and turps/jars/rags will be provided. Please bring your own paints, brushes and a palette and remember to wear old clothes and/or bring an apron/overall. Oil paint does not wash out of fabric! If you have your own table easel then please let me know...however I am able to provide these too.

This workshop costs £65 and will take place at Makers' Yard, 82-86 Rutland Street, Leicester LE1 1SB on Saturday 15th February 2014, 10am - 4pm.

Jane French was born in West Sussex and is now based in Leicester where she lives with her husband and two children. She graduated from Newcastle University in 1988 with a BA in Fine Art. She also completed an MA in Design in 1996. She has worked both as an illustrator and, more recently, as a graphic designer. She is now a full-time artist and in 2011 became a selected member of the Leicester Society of Artists.
